You can earn MoodCoin in ChessMood and spend them on buying courses, participating in events or becoming a PRO Member.

There are five ways:

  1. Referring a friend
  2. Solving daily puzzles
  3. Helping others by answering in forum
  4. Sharing us
  5. Helping our happiness department  

It's unlimited. You can earn as much as you want.

If you've bought a course and it’s not in the “My Courses” section of your Chessmood account, first of all, check if you’ve received a confirmation notification for the course, in your Chessmood account.

If you don’t find a confirmation notification, then the purchase was not completed, firstly, check your banking information or your PayPal account to verify the purchase was processed.

Double check everything, if you did not receive anything, please send a message to Chessmood and include your first and last name, mentioning the title of the course that you're missing.

If you paid with credit card, please provide the last four digits on the card as well as the cardholder's name as it appears on the card. If you’ve made your purchase with PayPal, please provide the PayPal receipt including the transaction id.

Note If the course was moved to the Archived section of your account, then you won’t see it on your “My Courses” page. To check and see if the course was Archived by mistake, please follow these steps:

  • Go to My Courses
  • Click the “Archived”
  • If you find the course there, click on the options
  • Select Unarchive

If you have none of those mentioned above issues, please contact us, we’ll try to help you.

If you’re having issues while watching your courses on a browser, please try the troubleshooting tips below before contacting us.

Following these steps can resolve many of the common issues related to video playback.

Please note that a broadband connection with a minimum speed of 5Mbit or 800kbps is required to watch a Chessmood course on your device.

Other issues. No Video

If the video keeps loading / buffering

  • Refresh your browser
  • Close your browser and open it
  • Clear your browser's cookies and cache.
  • Restart your browser before trying again
  • Try a different browser
  • Make sure there is nothing that could interfere with the streaming of the videos
  • Check your browser version and update it if needed
  • Log out of ChessMood and log back in
  • Try lowering the video quality of the lecture 
  • Test your internet connection speed
  • Try to watch another course.
  • Restart your computer and network devices
  • Try a different device or computer if possible

No Audio

  • Refresh your browser
  • Check if you’re having audio issues while viewing videos on other sites like YouTube.
  • If you still can’t hear anything, check the sound settings on your device.
  • Check to see if other lectures in the course are producing sound

If you're still having trouble, it's possible that there's something wrong with the video file. Please send a message to the instructor first and then, contact our Support.

When contacting support, please include:

  • Your browser version
  • Your OS (Windows 7, Mac OS X, etc.) T
  • he course URL and lecture number
  • Your internet connection's speed test results
  • The resolution you were watching the video lecture at (i.e. - 720p, 480p, etc)
  • A screenshot or screencast of the problem.

Common Troubleshooting Steps for Failed Card Purchases

Please have a look at some of the most common issues that can happen, when attempting to purchase Chessmood.

Please ensure you’ve entered the correct first and the last name of the card account holder and make sure your card is approved for international purchases.

 Don’t try the purchase too many times, some cards have specific usage limitation and will automatically block the payment attempts.

Don’t try to write letters or other characters in CVC code. Our payment processor only accepts numbers for this field. Please ensure you are entering numbers and that the code is correct, as listed on the back of the card.

Clear the cache: If you are sure you're doing everything right with the card number, but you see an invalid notification and there is no “Pay” button, clear the cache of your browser and try again.

If your issue wasn’t listed here, please contact us, we will solve your issue. 

With our members, we organize 1-1 blitz and simul games, training, webinars and streams where you can watch Live how our GM coaches put the ideas of video courses into practice.

Our PRO Members can join all the events, and our ChessMood members can join all the FREE events.

Speakers are our GM coaches and other titled chess players. Our members can also request with whom they would like to have a webinar or blitz games and we'll try to organize that.

If you would like a refund, please contact us and request the item you would like a refund on and the reason; we will assist you further.

No. This is not the correct action to take.

Opening a Paypal Dispute or Card Chargeback’s is a last option, and is intended for when you have not been able to get a satisfactory response from us. As per our Terms of Service, if you require a refund, you will need to contact us first to request this.

Should you open a Paypal Dispute / Chargeback, we will be asked by the dispute service to provide evidence of the transaction, and any tracking numbers, which could result in you losing the dispute, and possibly not receiving your order.

If you have opened a Paypal Dispute, you can close this from within your Paypal Dispute Centre.

If you have opened a Card Chargeback, you will need to contact your bank and advise them to close this.

You will receive your refund as soon as the customer support team has approved your refund request and any items have been returned. You will receive your refund notification email as soon as you are refunded.
