We hope you’re enjoying the strong, unique and fun BlackMood repertoire! Now it’s time to deepen your understanding of these openings!

You’ll notice the ideas covered in BlackMood openings are relatively new and unexplored. Because of this, it’s hard to find games in a database that covers these lines.

So we created this video course collecting instructive model games with the BlackMood openings and then recording each game from scratch, adding useful tips and commentary...

It will help you:

✅ Become more familiar with the unexplored ideas here.
✅ Remember the opening variations better.
✅ Improve your feel for the positions from these openings.

You’ll also see how to make practical decisions, convert winning positions, save losing ones and more!

Below are the positions from the course:

Now you might wonder – from where did we gather all these games?

📌 Some were played by our GMs, either during a live stream or private sessions.
📌 Some were shared by students just like you!

You can share your games via this forum link. We might record and add it to the course.
Now get ready to deepen your understanding of the BlackMood openings!

Let’s begin!

What you'll learn

  • Deepen your knowledge of BlackMood openings by watching real, instructive games.
  • Discover the typical plans and middlegame positions arising from these openings.
  • Remember the BlackMood opening variations better.
  • Learn how to punish your opponent when they ‘forget’ theory and make dubious moves.
  • See how to convert slightly better and winning positions.
  • Since the lines in BlackMood openings are relatively unexplored, these games will help you feel more comfortable in these openings.

Really helpful to see various plans working out against slightly different opponent responses and hearing the commentary on thinking processes during the games also gives great insight into what I should be considering during my games. Thank you to all who played these games!

Games on dutch attack are really entertaining as well a instructive . But I have a question . What if White tries block the long diagnol for black bishop with d pawn to d5 .It obstructs black's light square bishop as well as distarts the black pawn structure in dutch attack. I was looking for sample game with that theme. This is just a request to add that theme, otherwise the games collection is really instructive.

it's fun to watch this cours i added some games as sample games to my private lichess study that i use as a repertoire. i struggle more with black. please Avetik can you make the price of this black model game cours the same as the white one? the white cost 90000 mood coins and the white 50000. would be great and i already know that you offered us so much.

This is the best French course on the internet. There's no way you can learn these ideas from an engine. This course will save you hundreds of hours and possibly years of frustration.

NN(1753) - Me (1833) Against Grob's 'Attack' I won by taking the center and development as recommented. No blunder by me, according to the engine. Not allways the best move certainly. 1. g4 d5 2. d4 or QG opening always used to make me uncomfortable which was resulting loosing a lots, then i tried nimzo indian defence which somehow helped me to get some points against d4 but I was still feared whenever opponent play the leningrad variation the annoying pin at f6. A lot of thanks to GM avetik for this very instructive dutch defence opening which not only solved the annoying pin problem but also become a very good attacking weapon for me against d4 by combining with nimzo indian defence ideas. Thankyou sir avetik

The ideas in these games address a weakness of not playing aggressive chess; using these ideas will make you a more dynamic and aggressive player. Your Black winning percentage will go up. Don't forget to do the Tactics Ninja course as you will using those ideas as well.

It took me a while to get through these, but each one was worth it. I liked the streaming examples because I could learn as the game went on and why one path was preferable to another, reminding me of the reasons behind the theory. Way to go, guys!
