An interesting move in the 8.. Bg4 is 10.. Ne5!
Turns out typical 11. Rh3 doesn't work out here. Black manages to block the h file and gain (temporary but important) control over the d4 square, potentially forcing the white king to the f file. Instead, white should go back with the rook to f1.
Do you have a fixed time or number of games to play online or you play anytime?
I play in random manner and that cause me some rating drops.
My lichess blitz rating rises to 2130 sometimes but it drops back again to 2060 due to playing even in bedtime so I lack concentration.
Also Playing as you like makes me feel less focused during day.
So what is your style and how to solve this problem?
1. Make a new menu option with list of best games of the month.
2. Stream with GM Gabuzyan, I would ask Gabuzyan to play less games (max 3 games) per session but each game would be analysed afterwards, preferably in the style of Daniel Naroditsky's Speedrun.
3. Make a possibility to tag the games submitted by members with ChessMood tags related to courses, so that games could be linked from the course page. I would only tag the games of some value --> that would require that ChessMood team would tag the games. (one of the tags could be best-game, which would solve point 1 as well).
4. Make a possibility to submit important games related to ChessMood courses from current and past tournaments . Also require to submit pgn's so that they can be viewed immediately instead of links, that would drive people to other websites.
It Very Funny Situation For Me. Currently, My Rating is 1563 & My Opponent is Around 1500 And My Score Against Him Is Low (His 12 & I am 10)& Against My Second Opponent His Rating Around 1900 My Score Is Very Good (His 0 & I am 5)
And My Question is With My 1st Opponent My Rating Is Higher Why I am Not Beating Him With A Fair Score And With My 2nd Opponent My Score Very Good Why I am Stuck At 1563 And He Has Successfully Reached 1900 We All Are The Same Age.
It Will Be Helpful If Anyone Can Help Me Out!
I am a total newbie to chess, please help me understand why Magnus Carlesn resigns the following game:
He can still try to take the black bishop, with the white queen, one square to the right, but he resigns.
If he will take the black bishop with the white queen it will end up, as much as i can see, with him being in disadvantage of 1 rook, in comparison to the black pieces, but is this the reason he resigns?
